With only 2 weeks preps time (ang tagal kasi naming magdecide sa date!) and a tight budget 70 guests, good luck naman sa akin. Sharing my son’s long read baptism supplier ratings. Happy reading!


CHURCH: Parish of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
PESO POWER: 1K baptismal fee, P100/ sponsor, inclusive of BIG candles
REQUIREMENTS: Certified true copy birth certificate and Letter of Permission from Parish, if not a parishioner


Even nung hindi pa ako preggy, hubby and I already set our minds na kapag magpapabinyag kami e dito sa simbahan kung saan kami ikinasal. Solo mo kasi ang Baptistry at hindi kagaya sa ibang simbahan na sabay-sabay. Reserved 2 weeks prior. Reservation is P500 pero I paid in full agad para less worries na. Completed the requirements a week before kasi hindi ko agad naasikaso ang letter of permission. Nataon kasi na bagyo at brownout so hindi maprint ng parish church namin yung letter, hehe.. Ma’am Dodo just advised me to tell my sponsors na dumating at exactly 1230pm kasi 1pm slot ang nakuha namin. Baptism started on time. Malamig pagpasok at hindi naman kami nainitan kahit madami kami sa loob. Mabait si Father at sya pa naunang magsabi na picture time. Mabilis lang ang binyag. Mas matagal pa ang pictorials.


RECEPTION: Rustica
PESO POWER: P280 + 12% vat per head. 3 hours exclusive use of venue. With sound system and no corkage fee for the cake.
REQUIREMENTS: 3K downpayment. 50% of balance to be settled a week before the event (cash or check). Balance on the day (cash only)

You have to reserve for 50 pax para maging exclusive ang venue which we did. We reserved for 70 pax pero on the day ay 80+ pax ang bilang ng mga dumating.

Winner ang food! Halos lahat ay nag-second and third servings. Nagpadagdag pa nga kami ng pansit kasi naubos agad! Gawin daw bang kanin ang pansit? Lol. I so loved their smoked baby back ribs, roast beef w/ mushroom sauce and pansit. Malambot kasi ang baby back ribs pati roast beef. Maganda ang feedback sa amin ng guests and madami nagsabi ang sarap ng food and they’re asking kung paano naming nahanap ang place. Sulit talaga ang bayad.

Set up of the buffet table & tables are ok with me. I just requested na wag na lagyan ng blue runners ang tables kasi magiging “I belong” ako since I’m wearing a teal dress! Lol. Sinunod nila ang request ko to just use their brown table cloths and sa buffet na lang maglagay ng blue motif. Table centerpieces are the lamparas which I find nice. My cousins just added blue & white balloons which I didn’t know they’re doing pala kasi sabi ko wala na sa budget ang balloons.

Attentive ang waiters. Nagpadagdag kami ng tables sa loob kasi umulan. Hindi namin nagamit yung garden nila which nag-set up sila ng big tent which I find very nice. Malakas masyado ang ulan at career na mismo kung dun namin pauupuin mga bisita.


CAKE: Red Ribbon

Initially, dapat sa Frupcakes kami oorder ng cake kaso hindi na kaya iaccomodate ang aming order. I asked other cake makers kaso its either sobrang mahal or too late na for customized order of cakes. So I just chose between Red Ribbon or Goldilocks. Naisip ko na for picture purposes lang naman ang cake so why pay more kung sa bahay lang naman kakainin ang cake diba? And mas cheaper sa Red Ribbon tapos fondant pa! I ordered and paid in full a week before. Mas convenient pa sa amin kasi along the way yung branch so less hassle for pick up.

Talagang naghanap ako sa net ng magandang give aways. Gusto ko sana cupcake tower kaso ayun nga kulang sa time. Meron sana kaso P65/pc which I find mahal. Until I saw the mini feeding bottles which I find very fitting for a binyag.

Ginalugad naming ang Divisoria Mall hanggang makita namin ang mini feeding bottle with face towel inside. Nilagyan ko na lang ng blue ribbon and tag. Pati teddy bears, rosaries, ribbon & tags e sa divi mall namin na-accomplish. Laminated feeding bottles and chocolate balls naman ay sa Chocolate Lovers in Welcome Rotunda. Nakakatuwa kasi after ng binyag, I saw my friend's daughter drinking the mini feeding bottle, ginawa na nyang toy! ang cute!


BAPTISMAL OUTFIT: Landmark, Trinoma

RECEPTION: Barong with inner shirt, shorts, hat and Enfant shoes

Una kong nabili yung barong tapos habang naghahanap ako ng reception outfit ay nakita ko ang long gown! Aysus, I fell in love agad kaya sabi ko yung barong sa reception and long gown sa church! Inspired kay baby James, lol. Winner pa sa presyo! Tama naman ang nabili ko kasi yung long gown ay de patong lang at iriribbon lang sa likod so suot ng anak ko ay yung inner shirt and shorts while waiting for our turn. Nung malapit na kami pumasok sa Baptistry saka lang namin ipinatong ang long gown. Pagdating naman sa reception ay saka namin isinuot ang barong kaso naman ang MIL ko e pinahubad kasi daw maiinitan, toinks!

They’re our back up photogs nung wedding namin, they took my maternity portraits and now sa binyag naman ng baby namin. So in short, suki na kami.

Pre-event Pictorial: 3 hours din ang pictorial ni Basti sa studio nila and I think nag-enjoy ang baby ko kasi hindi sya umiyak the whole process! Iba pala ang pakiramdam kapag anak mo ang may pictorial, stage mommy alert!!!

On the day: Maaga sila dumating ni kuya Jun. They gave me the thank you cards which I find so lovely! As in ang ganda! Hindi ko inexpect na ganun kaganda ang lay out. Wala naman kasi akong theme for the baptism, basta sabi ko lang blue ang motif and baby things.At ang tarpaulin ng anak ko ay pinagkaguluhan sa reception! As in feeling artista ang tarp kasi dun nagpapapicture ang mga guests! Hahaha! At ang FIL ko ay hiningi ang tarp! Hihindian ko sana kasi syempre remembrance ko yun kaso hiritan ka ba naman ng “nasa inyo naman si basti e!” toinks. So wala akong nagawa. Nagpagawa na lang ulit ako kina mige. Tapos kinuha na agad ng FIL ko e madami pa gusto magpapicture! Oh well. And oh, I received our DVD copy of raw pix after 6 days kaya goodluck sa akin kasi I have to choose 150 pictures for the album.


SUMMARY:
Overall, mhirap magpreps ng mag-isa. Overseas kasi si hubby kaya mag-isa akong nagprepare ng binyag ng baby ko. Big help sa akin ang aking daddy kasi sya ang driver ko sa simbahan, reception and divisoria. Pati pinsan ko ay sinamahan ako sa divisoria. Mommy ko naman sa paghanap ng cake. Through email kami nagdedecide ni hubby for the details. With 2 weeks preps time ay kaya naman ng beauty ko. God is good kasi nakaya naman ang preps with the time period.

Umulan ng bonggang bongga on the day. Kaya habang nasa simbahan kami ay naisip ko na patay baka wala ng makarating sa reception. Pero nakupo, jam packed ang Rustica! Nagpadagdag pa kmi ng pansit! Madaming invited ang hindi nakarating pero madaming uninvited ang dumating so keri lang. What’s important is masaya ang celebration kasi may games pa kami (Pinoy Henyo: the Baby edition and ang walang kamatayang Hep hep Hooray!) at nairaos namin ang binyag ni Basti. Kaya now, pwede na sya rumampa, lol!
